My Grandchildren


Welcome to our Baba's home page. He is a UIC Distinguished Professor (Emeritus) at the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is interested in all areas of statistics, but his main lines of research and consulting are in design of experiments, medical and pharmaceutical statistics, environmental statistics, forensic statistics, surveillance strategies, assessment of agreements, and survey sampling. In addition to the traditional journal publications he has also co-authored four books on statistics. They are: Factorial Designs (published by Wiley), Design and Inference in Finite Population Sampling (Wiley), Orthogonal Arrays (Springer Verlag) and Statistical Tools for Measuring Agreement (Springer Verlag) (SAS codes and macros click here). We know that Baba is very proud of his 44 PhD students that he has had - and more to come. His former students are employed at universities, government agencies including FDA, major pharmaceutical companies, medical institutes, and other important organizations.
